Is it hard to in stall a sprinkler system yourself?

 I would like to induct a sprinkler system at home and I wondered if it was difficult or expensive to do?

 My father is a contractor issue and have worked on jobs with him before. It is relatively simple. Now just need the right equipment. A good trench shovel to start. Buy retaliation for the type of PVC pipe, usually 1 / 2 "for owners.
